Board Meeting Minutes

November 8, 2007

The board met at Adtran, Inc. located in Research Park. The following board representatives were present: Amy Heard, (President), Marsha Dollarhide (Secretary), John Hightower (Treasurer), Mike Crossley (Membership) and Mike Jones (Communications Committee).

Call to Order

Amy called the meeting to order. The October board meeting minutes were distributed and approved by consensus, with no edits recommended.

Treasurer’s Report

John reported provided Cash Flow Reports through 09/30/07 and 11/05/07. Chapter net income year to date 11/05/07 is $2,040.92. The abbreviated balance sheet showed Total Assets of $5,099.42. All financial reports were approved as submitted through consensus.

·   New Members                               0

Two previous members did not renew.

Communications

·   The regular reminder postcard and emails for November meeting notification will be processed.

·   A meeting notice for publication in the Huntsville Times will be submitted.

·   The chapter webpage is ready for launch, pending board member review.

Programs

·   Richard Scherberger, representing Executive Leadership Skills, will present “The Cost of Conflict” during our November meeting.

·   Amy will coordinate with Melodie regarding the January program.

·   Ideas for evening meeting and student chapter affiliation were also discussed.

·   The next board meeting is scheduled for December 13^th at Adtran, Inc. at 11:30 a.m.
