Board Meeting Minutes

September 13, 2007

The board met at Adtran, Inc. located in Research Park. The following board representatives were present: Georgia Wertman (President-Elect), Marsha Dollarhide (Secretary), John Hightower (Treasurer), Colleen Cain (Member-at-Large) and Gloria Stover (Past President).

Call to Order

Georgia called the meeting to order. The August board meeting minutes were distributed and approved by consensus, with minor edits noted.

Treasurer’s Report

John submitted the Train-the-Trainer (Bob Pike) Cash Flow report-to-date, as well as the chapter Cash Flow report for year-to-date through August. Both reports were approved by consensus.

Committee Reports

Membership

·   No Report

Communications

·   Dianne will mail the reminder postcards for the September on Monday.

Programs

·   No official report.

·   Options for the December 18th networking event were discussed.

·   Georgia will coordinate with Melodie to get the programs schedule update. It will be sent to board members via email.

Member Relations

·   Evaluations for the Train-the-trainer event will be summarized and analyzed. A total of 103 attendees participated in this Bob Pike event.

Old Business

The chapter non-profit certification letter is 85% complete.

New Business

The Nominating Committee has begun its search for chapter officers for 2008.

The next board meeting is scheduled for October 11^th at Adtran, Inc.
