Draft Minutes of Board Meeting

November 7, 2006

            The board meet at the ADTRAN building at 901 Explorer Boulevard. The following persons were present: Gloria Stover (president), Amy Heard (president-elect), John Hightower (treasurer), Rhonda Williams (programs chair), Georgia Wertman (president-elect for 2007), Colleen Cain (board member at large for 2007), and Diane Johnson (communications chair for 2007).

            John presented the minutes from the October board meeting, and they were accepted.

            John presented a treasurer’s report for October, and it was accepted.

            Rhonda reviewed the upcoming programs:

            ● November: The Office Ambassador with Michelle Powell

            ● December: The Huntsville Center for Technology, on December 8, at 11:30 a.m.

            The board reached consensus that the March meeting was to be held at Analytical Services, Inc. with Valley Pizza providing the lunch (if possible).

            The board decided not to have a regular December board meeting. Amy plans on having a pot-luck meeting of the combined boards some time in early January, probably at her house.

            The board reached consensus that the newsletter should be published on line if possible.

            There was no membership report. There was no member-relations report. There was no communications report.
