Using social media to enhance our current training methods.

   

 

Q:

I want to being using social media to enhance our current training methods, but I have no idea where to start.  Where should I begin?

   
 A: Begin with a blog.  It costs nothing, and is a great way to brand your training department.  Don’t expert to blog daily.  Even as little as one entry a week will do.  Use it to share extra information with your employees, and it will position you and your department as subject matter experts.  Have your I.T. department link your departmental blog right to your company’s intranet page.  The only cost to a blog is time, but I am sure most of us can find 15 minutes a week.  Go online and start blogging today.
